Quickly Impressed

This post was originally added on my Lumix Photos Blog.

I just picked John up from school and when we got back to the church I quickly took a few shots. This one was the 15th photo taken with the camera. Already I can say that I've never had a camera ... and I've tried more than a few... that would allow me to get highly defined, saturated portraits of John without a flash. This shot is straight from the camera.

Another Action Shot

Here's one more action shot.... Way to go Katie!

Did I mention they won 5-1?

Go Katie!

Here are some shots from the game this morning. I thought I would add an action shot, halftime shot, and one of Katie and her friend Sarah.

It was sweet victory to win the last game of the 2010-2011 season against MSMS. Go Falcons!

Falcons beat MSMS 5-1

Katie's team beat the Mississippi School for Math and Science.  Great game Katie! Go Falcons!

Pizza Night

Dad and John out on some whirl wind big-city Pizza Hut adventures... while Katie and Mommy were at a soccer game in Grenada.

102.6

This is when John had a high fever with the flu.  Katie and Mommy also were running the same fevers with their flu... Daddy was taking care of them and taking pictures.

Pod Wreckage

Its not very often that John's Omnipod insulin pump fails... but this photo shows the wreckage left from a hair raising late night / early morning. When we had three failures. Pretty scarry... I did call the company immediatly and had free replacements in the next day or two.

Garfield's

And that was our trip to Garfield's. All on a day when We got to see Grandmother and Grandaddy... And Katie played a great soccer game and scored goals against Greenville High... Go Falcons!

And Coloring!

To top off a great time... you can't beat coloring on the table cloth :)

And...

And even better... Daddy! This Garfield's trip was awesome!

OK... There's More

What could make it even better... Mom being there!

Grand Garfield's

What could be better than going to our favorite restaurant? That's simple... going to our favorite restaurant with Grandmother and Grandaddy!

Snow Angel

Last week we got a little snow. It was enough to keep us out of school for a couple days... I know, in most places it wouldn't have slowed them down at all... but in Mississippi accumulation is so rare thar it's an event to remember.

Katie had already made a handsome snowman and was trying her hand... Well... Her arms and legs at making a snow angel...

Santa Needs a Meal

John Stylon is very creative with his room. Most every day he comes up with something new, made from toys, shoes, clothes and more.

This particular stuff sculpture is "Santa Bones"... If you look closely you will note the skeleton wearing a Santa hat... with a bag full of toys... sitting in a storage box sleigh... pulled by two reigndeer slippers.
