Pollen Hood

How did the car hood get onto the kids blog you ask? Because it's covered with a thick beaded coating of what's making them sick. I don't know if it's from pine, or Bradford pear trees. I do know it has John's BG elevated and everyone's face and eyes burning.

This weekend we have been going through some stuff and straightening up in the attic because Katie is moving her room upstairs. I found a strip of 35mm negatives in one of Katie's little purses. I scanned them and reclaimed these wonderful photos.

There's nothing quite like holding both your children in you lap :) I'm not sure if Katie was actually sleepy, or just playing possum. I think they were both sleepy. I'm fairly confident that I was sleepy too!

Soccer Awards

Katie's Soccer Banquet

Lady Falcons 2010-2011. The soccer banquet was tonight... chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, slideshows, and awards... Oh and did I mention lots of purple and gold balloons?

Birthday Hu-u-u-g!

Katie gets her wish :-) ... at least one of her wishes when she gets a great big hug from her brother... no word on what her wish really was (I know you're not supposed to tell, or it wont come true).

Dr. Shepherd Day

We are waiting to see Dr. Shepherd... John has done all the preliminaries has been reading a magazine... and looked up long enough to get his picture taken.

Haircut

There comes a time in every young man's life when he must go under the scissors... so tonight was the night! Yet again, he has a cold and is running a little fever... so a haircut was just what he needed to feel better.  We cut his hair, took a hot bath, put on his favorite "need help after Katrina" shirt, and had a snack...  and as I write this post he is already snoozing.  If his smile looks especially "cheezy" he has a cracker in his mouth. :-)

The Original Katie Bug

Ok, I'm getting all retro and nostalgic with the posts... But blame it on school assignments.  I needed to print a childhood photo of Katie last week for a school project, so I couldn't help it.  It's hard to imagine that this little one is a Junior (nearly Senior).  Like John's clown photo, this is a pre-digital-camera scan.

Katie Bug

Just for "good measure"... here is Katie Bug with her Bug.  I have this photo on Picasa, and Facebook, and just about everywhere else because it's such a great shot of Katie...  and it was a proud day.  I know some of the last photos of the bug were covered with snow.  So here it is in all it's shiny glory.

Li Li is the clown on the left... I can't tell who the clown on the right is... But I know the cute "spongebob" clown in the middle! This photo is magnet tacked to a lamp in John's room... A reminder of his days with the circus.

Quickly Impressed

I just picked John up from school and when we got back to the church I quickly took a few shots. This one was the 15th photo taken with the camera. Already I can say that I've never had a camera ... and I've tried more than a few... that would allow me to get highly defined, saturated portraits of John without a flash. This shot is straight from the camera.

Here are some shots from the game this morning. I thought I would add an action shot, halftime shot, and one of Katie and her friend Sarah. 

It was sweet victory to win the last game of the 2010-2011 season against MSMS. Go Falcons! 

Falcons beat MSMS 5-1

Katie's team beat the Mississippi School for Math and Science.  Great game Katie! Go Falcons!

Pizza Night

Dad and John out on some whirl wind big-city Pizza Hut adventures... while Katie and Mommy were at a soccer game in Grenada.

This is when John had a high fever with the flu.  Katie and Mommy also were running the same fevers with their flu... Daddy was taking care of them and taking pictures.

Pod Wreckage

Its not very often that John's Omnipod insulin pump fails... but this photo shows the wreckage left from a hair raising late night / early morning. When we had three failures. Pretty scarry... I did call the company immediatly and had free replacements in the next day or two.

Garfield's

And that was our trip to Garfield's. All on a day when We got to see Grandmother and Grandaddy... And Katie played a great soccer game and scored goals against Greenville High... Go Falcons!
